Collaboration with T.E.N.T. at the Capitol - April 2025

We collaborated with the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) for Advocacy Day at the Capitol. Community Art's art therapist, Zak Van Den Berg, led an art activation at this space to create a bridge from grief to queer joy and liberation. Here are some of the photos from our event:

Zak is writing an article for an art therapy journal about the experience and they express, "Art therapy can help materialize more liberatory futures—worlds shaped not by violence or marginalization, but by collective imagination, joy, and justice."
