A popular proverb states, “it takes a village to raise a child” and though the saying has become almost cliche, I believe it can apply to a person at any stage of life. Whether it be a season of happiness and celebration or a time of pain, stress, and crisis, we all need to know that someone sees us, hears us, and truly cares.

After over 15 years as a former educator, I centered my Master’s level research and practice on the understanding and reduction of stress, anxiety, depression, and other struggles children and adolescents commonly face. My experience also extends to working with a diverse population of adults and their families, focusing on addiction recovery, co-occurring disorders, anxiety/depression, grief/loss, and life transitions.
Each person comes to therapy with individualized beliefs, thoughts, experiences, and stories. I want to get to know who you are, what your goals are, and how I can best support your healthy growth. My approach to counseling is person-centered, flexible, and integrative, incorporating modalities such as traditional talk therapy, art therapy, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused brief therapy.
Whether for yourself or someone you love, reaching out for help and support can often be daunting and I commend you for taking this first step. I welcome your questions and offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help determine if our partnership would be a good fit.
