About Us
Finding Healing within Creative Expression
Community Arts Therapy is a dynamic mental health and community engagement practice rooted in the healing power of art. Founded by Wanda Montemayor, LPC-S, ATR-BC, RPT-S, our practice brings together licensed therapists, art therapists, and community members to foster resilience, connection, and well-being.

Through individual and family therapy, community mosaic projects, art-based workshops, and professional consultations, we create inclusive, trauma-informed spaces that honor cultural identity and creative expression. Whether in the therapy room or out in the community, we believe art has the power to transform, connect, and heal.

Our Story
We began in 2020, but the spark for Community Arts Therapy was lit long before that. After years of teaching, counseling, and creating alongside youth in schools, Wanda Montemayor had a big, beautiful vision: a space where art, healing, and community could come together. A place where people could paint through pain, talk through tough stuff, and maybe even dance their way back to joy.

What started as a dream (and a whole lot of mosaic tiles) has grown into a thriving practice with three cozy offices and a team of 12 heart-centered clinicians. We’re counselors, artists, playmakers, and space-holders—here to walk alongside you with compassion, creativity, and a dash of glitter when needed. Whether through talk therapy, art therapy, play therapy, or just being really good listeners, we’re here to help you heal and feel seen.
Welcome to the circle. Let’s create something meaningful—together.
